Roman Flügel – Themes [ESP INSTITUTE]

Roman Flügel, one of the most consistent and respected figures within German dance music and a key figure in its development over the last two decades. His new album for Lovefingers’ ESP Institute sees a return to his experimental roots, encompassing a variety of ambient and downtempo pieces composed from the bleep-indebted sound-palette that makes up his signature.

    Rising:
    Donald’s House

Melbourne-based brothers James and Peter are Donald’s House, who have emerged from three years of writing together with a debut EP for  Nick Hoppener’s Touch From A Distance. Early evidence suggests big things.

Loud E and The Wild curate a 30-track compilation of not-too-serious and not-too-overproduced outsider disco. It’s not so much a reflection of a Belgian scene during this period, more a result of a decade of two sets of adventurous ears digging in flea markets, charity shops and vinyl trades. Hit after hit. Disco just how we like it.

    Rising:
    Mytron & Ofofo

Paris-London duo with releases for Les Yeux Orange, Multi Culti and Razor-N-Tape. One part Caribbean island fruit blend, one part Mood Hut groove, one part Ramzi deepness. These guys got it.
