Ride The Africa Express with Stephen Budd


Having worked with Songhoy Blues and Fatoumata Diawara & Seun Kuti and his background in African music, Stephen Budd is one of the key movers behind Damon Albarn’s Africa Express project and founded music festivals around the globe.

He has a long history of crate-digging in Africa and has amassed a significant collection of original 1970’s vinyl from Ghana, Nigeria, Congo and elsewhere. This summer he DJ’d at Worldwide Festival, The Istanbul Jazz Festival, London’s National Theatre, The Ace Hotel (for Diggers Dozen) and the DMZ Peace Train Festival.
