Mari* is Worldwide FM’s senior producer and Gilles Peterson’s longtime radio collaborator. She presents two hours of new wave music from Japan, live from the Brownswood basement.

Yosi Horikawa
Yosi Horikawa is a sound creator who incorporates field recordings into his music. Yosi Horikawa brings a 40 minute soundscape of field recording sounds and inspirational music, focusing on the theme of ‘water’.
Nobuyuki Nakajima
Nobuyuki Nakajima is one of the most significant composers, arrangers and pianists in Japan. Nobuyuki performs a live session on a Wurlitzer and selects his favourite soundtracks from Japanese films. Nobuyki is in London for a concert with Gainsbourg Symphonic and Jane Birkin, featuring the Heritage Orchestra with conductor Geoffrey Styles as pianist and musical arranger.
Jun Inoue
Jun Inoue is a contemporary artist from Tokyo. In 2016, Jun performed at Worldwide Festival Sête, with Gilles calling it one of the best performances in Worldwide Festival history. Jun Inoue live paints the wall of the Brownswood basement during the show.
