Zeitgeist Freedom Energy Exchange
Led by 30/70’s drummer Zeke ‘Ziggy’ Ruckman, Zeitgeist Freedom Energy Exchange (ZFEE/ZFEX) specialise in live jazz-funk, acid house, broken beat and Afro-Brazilian. For this live session, Ziggy is joined by Matt Hayes (Analogue Attic) on bass and Lewis Moody (Sex on Toast/Career Advice) on keys. Look out for their debut record in 2018 on Melbourne label Wax Museum. In the meantime, the studio version of ‘Nikita’ is available for free download on Ennio’s ‘Stylin’ 800′ comp.
Remi, SILENTJAY & Sensible J
Melbourne MC Remi drop into the studio to play a couple of earthy hip hop jams with his frequent collaborators Silentjay (keys/backing vocals) and Sensible J (bongos). The three all feature heavily on Sampa the Great’s new album and have lots of other projects in store including collaborations with Nai Palm, Space Invadas and Jordan Rakei. They present some works in progress from Silentjay’s upcoming solo EP (Ohio Players cover) and Sensible J’s Cool Out Sun project with Lamine Sonko, N’fa Jones and Nui Moon.
