This May, the WORLDWIDE Awards returns for a celebration of the best forward-thinking music of the past year. An award ceremony featuring live performances and DJ sets will be held in Camden’s historic, and newly refurbished, KOKO across eight hours. This musical extravaganza was created from the need to celebrate geniuses who are so often left by the wayside, and as an annual meeting point for the WORLDWIDE Family to dance all night long - something dearly missed during the pandemic.
The broad spectrum of previous performers includes Kamasi Washington, Nubya Garcia, BCUC and Khruangbin. DJ sets range from jazz to jacked-up club bangers. Each year the WORLDWIDE Awards embraces the new leaders of underground scenes from around the globe, as well as paying homage to those who have created and maintained cultural change throughout their careers.
This year, on May 14th, the party restarts.
