Playfully deconstructing various genres to create its own sonic world, the legendary Aksak Maboul now revolves around its founder (Crammed Discs label boss) Marc Hollander, and vocalist/lyricist Véronique Vincent. After a gap of several decades, they’ve recently put out a brand-new double LP, the acclaimed ’Figures’. On this show, Hollander plays a mixed bag of old & new favourites dating from 1960 to 2020, blended with some unreleased Aksak & Crammed tracks and fresh remixes.
