Future Nostalgia with Atiyyah Khan: On Our Own Clock

For this month’s show, Atiyyah showcases interviews about project, On Our Own Clock, released by Mushroom Hour Half Hour (South Africa) in collaboration with Total Refreshment Centre (UK).

The record is a mammoth project which brings together 14 musicians in a joint recording from Dakar, Johannesburg and London and was released early September. She speaks to contributors from each side including Grandmaster Cap, Nosisi Ngakane, Asher Gamedze, Alabaster dePlume, Danalogue, Lex Blondin and Emma Warren. For the rest of the show, she pays tribute to the late Lee “Scratch” Perry who passed last month.
