Starting this episode with Korean pop standard ‘안개’(Misty) by 정훈희(Jung Hoon Hui) which featured on the movie ‘Decision to Leave’ a new film by director Park Chan Wook. This song is written by 이봉조(Lee Bong Jo) who is regarded as the most prominent pioneer in Korean jazz of 60s. highlighting on his later work, I’d like to introduce his jazz-funk instrumental piece 부탁/해뜰날 which reflects his electric jazz years in late 70s.
We also have new release by Closet Yi, one of the most creative producer / DJ in the game right now. her new EP ‘Simmer’ is out now thru Hot Flush Recordings.
