On and off the decks, Harrison exudes a charm that spreads contagiously and shines through his records, capturing a sense of London clubland as it was in the early days of acid house. He draws deeply and sympathetically from this time, as well as his experiences in the dance with soul, latin, rockabilly, dub, punk, jazz dance and other forms of proto-dance music, now playing with these in mind - anything with style, substance and spirit.
On the party circuit, too, he’s made a mark. Setting up shop South of the river, he ran ‘Deestra’ with Apiento and Nancy Noise and is a resident of ‘Heart of Soul’ in Lewisham which featured at one point in Dazed magazine and also a resident at the downtempo party ‘Sunday Downtime’ being very eclectic chilled out sound. More recently, he started ‘eden echos’ which takes a step into more ambitious programming, booking the likes of Kay Suzuki, Millie Mckee and Belle Bête of Beauty & The Beat. The horizon promises many more great things for Harrison, no doubt.
