This week on the Worldwide Breakfast show, we’ll be diving into the rise of deep listening: spaces and experiences designed for intentional engagement with sound.
We’ll be listening to a special live recording of Hector Plimmer & Nomieye (aka Rosie Turton), captured at Space Talk during Valentine’s residency event: “Valentine invites…”. Their performance blends intricate modular synth textures with rich, rhythmic soundscapes, creating an expansive sonic journey. (Live recorded & mixed by Juan Blanco).
We’ll also be speaking with Reuben McKenzie, co-runner of Shai Space, a new event space in Peckham, about their Friday night listening sessions and other ways of connecting with the community through music.
