For the last show of 2021, Aneesha is joined by a very special guest who runs the label Kabul Fire Records. Farhot is successfully producing music for a wide range of artists for more than a decade.
Not limiting himself to a certain genre his impressive body of work includes productions for artists like Giggs, Kano, Talib Kweli and more! After the release of his first album Kabul Fire Vol. 1, he wanted to take his listeners on a journey to his biographical roots with the follow up of Kabul Fire Vol. 2 which include references to his Afghan homeland. He has created an album that is as versatile, rough and rugged, yet full of poetic beauty as Afghanistan. Anyone who takes - traditional - music away from a society also takes away a part of its history and culture. On this project, Farhot not only deals with the formative years of his own life, he also makes a contribution against forgetting and joins the list of exiled Afghan artists who take a critical stance and emphasise the importance of their cultural heritage.
