Connections To Sound: Kayla Painter with CLAIR

Kayla Painter‘s monthly show “Connections to Sound”. In every episode, she will be exploring our innate connection to sound through the world around us. Playing music across the spectrum focusing on electronic, experimental, and downtempo for your Monday afternoon.

Joining Kayla for a guest mix is Scottish experimental artist CLAIR, monika of Clair Crawford. She uses Transcendental meditation, magick, field recordings, percussion, horns, the sounds of random objects, vocal oddities and piano keys to create collages of neo classical, folk, abstract, ambient, or as boomkat dubbed it ‘environmental music’

Debut LP ‘Earth Mothers’ was supported by fans and press alike, (support from The Quietus, Late Junction, NTS to name a few). The overwhelming success of this release means we will see a repress in 2023. CLAIR has a monthly residency for CAMP FR where she hosts her show ‘Sonic Bookclub’, a blend of ambient, modern classical, field recordings, drone and film score woven with spoken word from a different guest each month. Ahead of her Body Blossom Revelations EP, CLAIR joins Kayla for a guest mix including some of her own work, as well as recent favourites.
