Connections to Sound: Kayla Painter with Elizabeth Crompton

Kayla Painter’s monthly show “Connections to Sound”. In every episode, she will be exploring our innate connection to sound through the world around us. Playing music across the spectrum focusing on electronic, experimental, and downtempo for your Monday afternoon.

Joining Kayla for a guest mix is Manchester based artist Elizabeth Crompton. Known for her ability to craft atmospheric vocal music with heart, Elizabeth’s sound combines classic songwriting techniques, with glistening ambient textures, and intriguing and evolving synth lines to create her unique sound.

Often inspired by the melancholic, her writing explores themes such as apocalypse, mental health, grief and Science Fiction. Following on from her recent sell out EP ‘A Warning’, her debut album ‘Problems Of Other Minds’ will be available late November on both digital and vinyl via Werra Foxma Records.

To mark two years of Connections to Sound and the final show on WWFM, Kayla will also be doing a live mix including some of her tracks from her upcoming EP ‘Infinite You’ out on Vinyl in November via label Castles in Space.
