South African music journalist, DJ, and researcher Atiyyah Khan (El Corazon) digs out gems, past and present. The show is an extension of the music collective she co-founded in Cape Town called Future Nostalgia, which spins records and has hosted listening sessions for the past eight years.
In September, Atiyyah connected with like-minded DJ and selector J'Peux Tim, while based in Switzerland for a research residency. For this month’s show, Tim presents a beautiful special guest mix in dedication to Kahil El'Zabar - the great multi-instrumentalist and composer. The mix is presented along with a short interview with Tim, recorded at Kasheme in Zurich - a space where a dedicated community have invested time, love and energy into building a listening culture around music over the last few years.
