For her final show of the year, Atiyyah features an exclusive, raw and candid interview with legendary Zimbabwean revolutionary guitarist and singer, Thomas “Mukanya” Mapfumo, interviewed while on tour in South Africa recently. Mapfumo is known for championing chimurenga (struggle) music and select tunes from his lengthy discography feature in the show. They talk about music, politics, Zimbabwe and the longing for home.
