US-based Pakistani artist Zeerak Ahmed – aka Slowspin – takes you on a journey through the New York scene, sharing tracks and songs from some her favourite collaborators and friends.
Slowspin produces voice-based sculptures, sound installations and uniquely fragile sound collages. She has a distinct sound practice grounded in North Indian classical vocal traditions, dream-folk, ambient and experimental electronic music.
Poetry and melodies in her mother tongue(s) — Urdu, Purbi and English — build textural soundscapes for love, loss and longing.
