Kiko Dinucci // 29-11-20

São Paulo-based musician Kiko Dinucci shares his musical influences for his critically acclaimed album Rastilho. Released by Mais Um earlier this year, Rastilho is an album of apocalyptic samba inspired by 1960s Brazilian recordings, some of which feature in this mix. Whether as a solo artist, member of explosive Afro-punk-jazz outfit Metá Metá, or via collaborations with Brazilian greats such as Elza Soares (for whom he co-produced her career-defining A Mulher Do Fim Do Mundo), Kiko is a singular figure in Brazilian contemporary music, pushing samba in new directions.
