Local Dish: Daniel McLay

Local Dish is a Toronto-based label making eclectic all-analog recordings of artists from the Toronto area.

This show is a quick tour through the productions of Local Dish and it's various offshoot labels, recordings made in Toronto with local artists on reel-to-reel and cassette, in living rooms, basements, rehearsal spaces and short-lived studios.

Capturing personality and the character of the artist is the goal and no computers are allowed. Every record is recorded to tape, mixed to tape and cut from another tape, every label is painstakingly stamped and/or typed on a typewriter.
