Love Injection Takeover: Dear Brooklyn w/ John Silas

A story of a pastime with my late grandfather

Sometimes as creators, we tend to sit on ideas, projects and feelings in hope that if we continue the next “one” will be superior to the latter. This one being a paradox that eventually becomes impairing. An inability to step back and appreciate the development. To break the cycle, sometimes all it takes is a friend, a moment, or an opportunity to persuade closure. So when Love Injection gave me nine days to present something unique for WorldwideFM, I finally realized that the finish line was far behind me.

Within these past several days I methodically emptied out my MPC5000, arranged, mixed/mastered sixty minutes worth of unreleased music to share. After curating countless mixes for a variety of radio shows, I felt something was still absent from this current one. It lacked a spark/originality. So inwardly I asked myself “What currently inspires me? The answer is photographic. Film. Here I present a short story narrated, produced, scored, and shot by, well me, or multiple versions of myself. The next sixty minutes is the story of a pastime with my late grandfather. Please enjoy (best with some popcorn ) - Mr. Davis.
