Every month, New Voices unveils fresh music from across the world, featuring an artist who will delve into their record, sound, and inspirations.
Zaereo is a radio host, DJ, and curator currently based in London with close ties to her past European homes. Connecting international rock, jazz, and all manner of experimental meditations, she holds a proper place for the sounds of the global South and cross-cultural exchanges.
In this show, she speaks with Falmouth-based psychedelic folk collective Blind Yeo, who are closely tied with the town's fabled live venue and community space, The Cornish Bank. They share tracks from their debut album Echoes / Anam Cara on Lost Map Records, explore the rhythms that have influenced them, and discuss the importance of having places to musically collaborate and experiment.
