Zaereo is a radio host, DJ and curator currently based in London with close ties to her past European homes. Connecting international rock, jazz and all manner of experimental meditations, she holds a proper place for the sounds of the global South and cross-cultural exchanges.
This month she speaks with multi-instrumentalist and label owner of Guruguru Brain, Go Kurosawa. Alongside championing musicians across Asia, he was the drummer for the Japanese psychedelic band Kikagaku Moyo. He has just released his debut solo album named soft shakes––he shares insights on the process of creating a record by himself, how instruments were the leading inspiration, and what it's like to run an independent label.
