Mari* is Worldwide FM’s Senior Producer and Gilles Peterson’s longtime radio collaborator, and every month presents a two hour show called ‘Oto Nova Japan’ introducing a new wave of artists and music coming out of Japan. This month's show includes a guest mix from Becker & Mukai, a Japanese-French duo who have released their first album ‘Time Very Near’ from SaS Recordings this month. Jean-Gabriel Becker is a Parisian cinema composer best known for idiosyncratic soundscapes. Susumu Mukai is a London-based musician who has collaborated with likes of Floating Points, Vanishing Twin, Alexis Taylor and Fimber Bravo. Becker & Mukai select COVID isolation style tunes that inspired the making of their new album.
