Time Capsule Takeover: East Tokyo Jazz Spots w/ JFK

JFK is a Jazz/Fusion party held at Bar Slight in Kanda, East Tokyo.

With an Afro-Cosmic Jazz theme, JFK channels the same euphoric spirit found in house music, but through the organic grooves of jazz fusion. Named after the initials of its resident DJs, each one brings a unique energy to the decks.

J = Junpay (a.k.a. Jaypee)
A Tokyo-based music aficionado, Junpay moves seamlessly from big techno raves to intimate jazz joints. He’s a staple at Bar Slight but continues to explore Tokyo’s diverse party scene.

F = Friskie
A DJ and event organizer working with the Australian clothing brand Deus Ex Machina, Friskie also runs a DJ bar in their Asakusa shop. The sound system, featuring 100% Japanese gear, includes the renowned Taguchi speakers.

K = Kota
Owner of Bar Slight, Kota is a pioneer of the evolving East Tokyo scene. His slick and classy jazz bar offers a raw, immersive sound, powered by Taguchi speakers, making it a standout destination.
