Une Voix M'appelle curates: Discotchari

The purveyors of rare Armenian grooves, Discotchari (a portmanteau of "disco" and the folk dance "kotchari") is the investigative musical journey of Zachary Asdourian and Anaïs Gyulbudaghyan. Together they are pushing the boundaries of Armenian music produced in diaspora outposts and strongholds around the world. In this mix for the Une Voix M'appelle takeover on Worldwide FM, the Discotchari duo showcase rare grooves and under-exposed dance music produced by the Armenian diaspora, with its cultural epicentre in LA's Santa Monica Boulevard and far-reaching connections to Yerevan, Beirut, Marseilles and around the world.
