Originally nurtured by the likes of Colin Curtis, Paul Murphy, Kev Beadle, Perry Louis and Gilles Peterson; Ashley’s inherent interest in the culture pays homage to these influences but also adds to what came before, building on the language of jazz-dance with his own authenticism and unparalleled tastes.
