Valentine Comar welcomes long-time music journalist, DJ, and creative force Roberta Cutolo for a special edition of the “Breakfast in…” series: Breakfast on the Move.
Originally from Bari, Puglia and based in London for over 30 years, Roberta has long been part of the city’s deep musical fabric—connected to the original Straight No Chaser and Dingwalls crew, a former correspondent for Acid Jazz Magazine and Radio Italia Network, and a collaborator with legends like Norman Jay, Incognito, Jazzie B, and David Mancuso. Her recent work includes curating Flora Purim’s acclaimed comeback album on Strut Records and the award-winning BBE boxset with Paul Bradshaw.
"The mix reflects my feelings and thoughts while travelling, leaving London behind and venturing for one month to France-Ghana-Portugal taking my music with me (some vinyl travelling included) as I was playing a few gigs in these 3 countries while at the same time I was absorbing sounds - music from what was played and playing around me .... it was special - this is why I love music and travelling" - Roberta
As per usual, Valentine curates a selection to go with the mix!
