Jimetta Rose and The Voices of Creation: LIQUYD+SKYSCRAPER

The Voices of Creation are a community-based choir led by Jimetta Rose, a vocalist, songwriter, arranger, producer, and mainstay of the Los Angeles scene. They consist of a multigenerational group of mostly non-professional singers backed by some of the city’s finest musicians. While their music may recall Kamasi Washington, The Staple Singers, or Sly Stone, Jimetta’s unique vision creates spiritually-charged music that embraces love, joy, and peace as a sonic healing balm for the soul.

To celebrate their recent album, "Things Are Getting Better," Jimetta has curated a special day featuring artists from her LA community.

Ashanti Liquyd, is the mesmerising choreographer for The Voices of Creation with a passion for fluidity and expression, and Skyscraper, an innovative beatmaker and producer with a knack for crafting immersive soundscapes, are a dynamic married couple whose artistic synergy transcends boundaries. Their collaboration merges the art of movement with the science of sound, creating a unique fusion of rhythm and visuals that captivate audiences.
