Strut Records was founded in 1999 by Quinton Scott, a DJ and avid collector of rare and obscure music from around the globe. What started as a passion project has grown (now in its 25th year) into a renowned record label that specialises in uncovering forgotten gems and promoting new artists with unique sounds.
With a focus on African, Latin, funk, soul, jazz, electronic, and global dance music, Strut Records has become a major player in the international music scene.
As part of the takeover, Strut will showcase guest hosts from Strut artists. This will include interviews, behind-the-scenes glimpses of their creative process, and exclusive previews of upcoming releases.
The guest hosts feature Quinton Scott, the founder of Strut, who will delve into the label's history. Ken Hidaka (Japan), Edna Martinez (Colombia), Juanita Euka (Democratic Republic Of Congo / Argentina)
